Commonly an electrician suffers from back, knees, fingers and hands injuries. An electrician may need to do some things on the job that can lead to pain and discomfort in these areas of their body. Such things are: working in very hot or cold temperatures, staying in the same position for long periods of time, holding vibrating tools, constant pressure from a hard surface on the body, constant moving or twisting of body and using force on your body to perform any task.
To keep the body fit, he should do some exercising before going on job. Stretching exercises help in reducing strain in body and muscles. If you are not able to do the work then look for another alternative of doing the work.
Fatigues, weakness, loss of energy, swelling, numbness, tingling and aching or burning pain are the frequently occurring problems of an electrician. These problems affect the back, arms, shoulders, knees, hands, fingers and neck of an electrician.
In case any of the above mentioned problems occurs in an electrician then he should consult his manager and take all possible steps to cure it. If ignored the problem may turn out to be serious.
A work can be done in two ways, an easy way and a difficult way. An electrician just needs to discover an easy way of doing any work. Like in a work that needs more of handwork, an electrician should prefer to use electric machines or some other tools through which that job can be easily done.
Back injury is also a common problem for electricians. Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying heavy loads can cause serious back injury. Be careful about the way you lift, pull and push items so that you can lower the risk of back injury.
Working in same posture is very tough and generates pain in the body later. Therefore, an electrician requires turning and twisting his body after a certain interval of time to prevent that pain. An electrician needs to take all the normal use tools along with him. So he can put them in a belt and wear that belt in a way that it does not hinder his work.
Gloves, knee pads, goggles, hat, rubber foot are some things that an electrician should wear during his job. All these things prevent an electrician’s body against any injury. After taking some proper preventive measures and following some tips an electrician can live for long.
